Disappointed

While there's some value in having both Grande Illusions together at this price, the print and paper quality let's this book down. Some photos are so dark and murky the text on them is hard to read and throughout this reprint the detail in Savini's work is lost.

Savini is THE MASTER OF GORE

I received this double volume of Tom Savini's greatest make up effects recently.
It is a comprehensive coverage of his work in films like Friday the 13th and Dawn of the Dead, which are now considered classics among the horror genre. I am a fan of Tom's films and his work has always amazed me in that he is a thinking man's make up artist. He will use as much of the real actor's body parts in the effect in order to add as much realism to the illusion as possible.
This double book of his work is a must for any make up artist, or fan of horror classics.
